Le parcours débute à la sortie du métro Villa-Maria et se termine à l'église Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. House of Miracles is a non-fiction story written and read by the writer Joel Yanofsky. It can be listened to anywhere, or more fittingly at the site of St-Joseph's oratory. Le parcours débute avec l'histoire du quartier et nous situe dans le vieux Côte-des-neiges. Puis ce sont plusieurs fenêtres qui s’ouvrent tout au long de la balade pour laisser place aux voix des gens qui vivent et travaillent dans le quartier. C’est l’histoire, entre autres, de Wolfgang et de la fruiterie Atlantic, de Guy le maître cordonnier et d’Isabelle la libraire. The soundwalk starts in front of the Côte-des-neiges metro station and ends at Kent park down the hill. The itinerary begins with the neighbourhood's history and gives us a glance into old Côtes-des-neiges. Along the walk, you will be let us into the lives of the people who live and work in the neighbourhood. This is the story of Wolfgang and the Atlantic grocery store, Guy the cobbler, Isabelle the librarian, among others. This walk starts at Sherbrooke and Old Orchard and ends at Cavendish and De Maisonneuve. Listeners will hear about Notre-Dame-de-Grace’s farming days and the famed Montreal Melon, the heyday of the Empress theater, the crime wave of the West End gang, with a short stop at Benny Farm housing complex.
