Robert E Lee is a true character, and no its not the famous us army general! He is from north Queensland and is in our region for a local walk called Conquer the Corrugations. Along with local legend Charlie Earl they are walking from Inverleigh to Winchelsea on Saturday and back to Inverleigh on Sunday. It's all in the name of walking and talking. Getting alongside someone you may not even know and having a chat. We also chatted about north Queensland and the weather that has amazed everyone. We had a great chat to the Prof on comedians good and bad.

The Dennis family have a long history with the western districts of Victoria. Toms' family have been at Tarndwarncoort (Tarndie for short) near Colac since 1830s. Tom ion for preserving the past for the next generations is evident in this chat especially his beloved sheep and the lovely wool they produce. Today we spoke with the straight-talking Mary O'Brien from Are you bogged mate. Are you bogged is a men's mental health charity that focuses on all men but particularly men from the bush. Mary built this charity up after a rough Christmas in her community. Mary wrote an acritical about men and how society communicates with men. It struck a chord and are you bogged was born. Some people are great at a conversation...Claire is one of those. Chottie brought Claire to the table, and I am very grateful. Claire is in a unique position where she is charge of preserving a magnificent wool shed on the Liverpool plains in northern NSW. An interesting business has emerged around these old buildings. The Prof gave up his tips on......how to tip!

We had a great story today, Sandy Cameron from Meredith Goats Cheese. If you are doubting what you want to do in life listen to this one. I ire the ability of Sandy and his wife Julie to stick to their dream of living in the bush and earning an income form their patch. On building their business there were several times to go back to careers that would "take the pressure off" but they suck at it. The Prof gives us his protected AFL top 8 for 2025.

David "CD" Allen has been ionate about land and soil management long before it was a regular conversation in society. Because of his attitude he and his family, they have had the opportunity of being Australian McDonalds pin up farm for animal and land ethics. Great achievement. The Prof has a proper stab at the negative aspect of mobile phones. For what it's worth I think he's right!

On Chewing the Fat today, we spoke with one the greatest golfers on King Island, Robyn Wilson. While having a meal in the local 9-hole golf course T.C was taken by the honour boards around the club. The women's club champions board stood out. From 1973 to 2015 R. Wilson had won all years but 3, an outstanding effort in and level of Golf. From a daughter of a prisoner of war to being involved in one of the greatest golf courses Ocean Dunes this chat was fantastic The Prof as usual didn't let the side down.

We had a great chat to a mate of mine, Marty Pentecost from Rockhampton in Queensland. Marty is a smart, eloquent and above a great bloke. Marty has worked all through northern Australia and in many different roles. From Ringer to dealing with banks and financiers at the big end of town he has covered it all. This was a great chat, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Prof and I got talking about the success that is the Australian Women's cricket side. In particular an exceptional leg spin bowler call Alana King.

Today we chatted to Lachlan Polkinghorne from Beachport in South Australia. Lachlan has had a wealth of experience in the ag space both in his own businesses and also as a leading educator as well. This conversation shows Lachlan's ability to keep an open mind and ready to learn. The prof and I spoke about the Dakar Rally run in Saudi Arabia. It well worth a look into even if you are not interested in motor sport. The effort it takes just to achieve a finish in this race is incredible.

Well listeners we are back for a big 2025 where we will catch up with a new bunch of people and maybe be some old ones. No better quest to kick off the year than Neil McDonald of muster dog's fame. This was a great chat and even though Neil was talking about animals I think some of the messages can be adopted to people. We said a very happy new year to the Prof. I challenged the Prof our attitudes towards 20/20 cricket and the influence on test cricket in our country. Saturday was an all-time favourite of T.Cs. We chatted to 3 great guests and a bit of back and forth with Chottie was a bonus! We spoke with Clayton Horspole about an event in the woodchopping game. Clayton is taking a real shine to the sport. He also had a chat about his beloved chooks. Rachel Boddington is a great human and is part of the Winchelsea Golf Club. Rach has organised the longest day event that raises money for Cancer Council. Last but definitely not least the Prof bought a massive guest to the table. 2-time Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Cyclist Amy Cure. The Prof was present on Thursday 5th December to witness Amy being inducted to the Tasmanian Sports Hall of fame. What a wonderful achievement. I was very humbled and proud to have a chat with her on Chewing the fat. Thanks Amy and Prof.

From dad to rodeo clown Byron O'Keeffe has done it all in the livestock space. He has a wealth of experience in handling livestock and people which he gathered while travelling the world delivering livestock to different countries and people with completely different cultures to us in Australia. The Prof was at his best as per usual.

Don't mess with Liz Rymill she is a hot shot of a shotgun! Liz is a mother, Journalist, great community person and a very successful skeet shooter. By the end of this episode the reason for Liz's success in life will be of no surprise. The ion around the mental side of her discipline is a great listen. No Prof today but I am sure he will be back next week.

I am not built for long distance running! Tristan Green is. Even with this in mind to take on a challenge of an 100km trail run is a mean feat in itself let along doing it. The idea that this style of running is 90% between the ears can be extruded into our day to day lives. Colin McKenna died on Sunday after a short illness. Col has had a huge impact on the meat industry and the people in it. There are a lot of people in and out of the meat industry that Col had an impact on and would be feeling his loss, to these people and of course Col's family I send my condolences to them. The Prof had his words about Col and then opined on Col's other great love the spring carnival.

Oopy MacGillivray along with her partner Dan are racehorse trainers from South Australia, and they have a Melbourne Cup runner. We really enjoyed every part this chat, from Oopy's younger days where the love of horses started all the way through to the excitement of having a Melbourne Cup runner. The Prof opined for the last time on the 2024 AFL season. It's on with the trading period, which it seems no one can get their heads around!

Today T.C had a great mate come on and chew the fat. Hamish "Hammer" McKenzie. Hammer hails from the Echuca region of Victoria Australia. From a rebel kid to a talented cattle buyer to adventure traveler Hammer has done a lot and from it all he has a few yarns to tell.

Jack Brisco has had a go at almost everything in the ag space, but his real ion lies in dog training and livestock handling. T.C and Jack had a great chat about livestock handling and the industry that's so close to both.
