In the inaugural episode of the Belong Wellness Podcast, I share my personal journey from a corporate career in digital marketing to becoming a fitness instructor, studio owner and eventually a health coach specializing in midlife women’s wellness.  My story includes a cross-country move with a suitcase and no plan, feeling confined in a corporate career that no longer suited me, a massive career pivot at 35, a feeling of loss of identity after selling my business and becoming a mother, and my path back to myself that started while pregnant during the pandemic.  Can you relate?? Hello, my friend and welcome to the Belong Wellness podcast! I am your host, Jessica Long.  I am a midlife woman currently riding the freight train off a cliff that is perimenopause all while raising two small children, attempting to be a decent wife and trying to run a small business.  I’m a corporate marketing professional turned fitness studio owner turned health coach specializing in midlife women’s hormone health. Clearly, I love a career pivot and entrepreneurship. And, I am fascinated with understanding my body and making intelligent decisions when it comes to my nutrition and lifestyle so I can feel my best, or honestly, just feel like myself again, which is my current goal.  Each week I will share my own personal stories of how I navigate this wild stage of life. I will also bring in guests to share their incredible stories of bravery, resilience and badassery.
