Today is set to be the hottest day of the year so far - with highs of 21 degrees forecast for some parts of the country. Met Eireann says the centre of an area of high pressure will be positioned over the country today, making it the hottest day of the current warm spell. However, cooler and wetter than average weather is expected next week.
