High as a Comet #31: Technopsych i5t2

**ENGLISH BELOW** 🇪🇸 ¡Hola amigas y amigos! De nuevo toca programa zapatillesco en High as a Comet (ver el #21 para más tralla). El concepto de psicodelia, que ya de por sí nos gusta estirar y retorcer hasta el extremo en estos lares, en la electrónica es aún más etéreo y subjetivo en general que en la música de guitarras. Sin embargo, con la mano en el corazón considero que los temas aquí propuestos son todos lo suficientemente lisérgicos y bizarros como para hacer volar sin motor sin necesidad, en este caso no de LSD, sino de MDMA o similares pócimas químicas. Para fabricar esa mezcla ácida de manera sintética como si de laboratorio en el desierto se tratase, los artistas que suenan en este episodio tiran mucho de folklore, tanto latinoamericano (Nicola Cruz, Terror/Cactus, Montoya) como árabe (Acid Arab), galaico (Baiuca) o italiano (Lake Haze). Otros lo mantienen más occidental, aunque variando entre recursos retros (Mano Le Tough, Caribou) o abrazando a deguello la modernidad (Oneohtrix Point Never o Twerking Class Heroes). Cualquier recurso es válido para poner al personal a menear el bullate y gastar las suelas en la pista de baile mientras la cabeza está a 30.000 pies sobre el nivel del mar. The concept of psychedelia, which we already love to stretch and twist to the extreme around here, is even more ethereal and subjective in electronic music than it is in its guitar-based counterpart. However, hand on heart, I believe the tracks featured here are all trippy and bizarre enough to make you soar without an engine—not with LSD this time, but MDMA or similar chemical concoctions. To create this synthetic acidic blend, as if from a desert lab, the artists featured in this episode draw heavily from folklore: Latin American (Nicola Cruz, Terror/Cactus, Montoya), Arab (Acid Arab), Galician (Baiuca), or Italian (Lake Haze). Others stick to a more Western approach, either leaning on retro elements (Mano Le Tough, Caribou) or fully embracing modernity (Oneohtrix Point Never or Twerking Class Heroes). Any resource is fair game to get the crowd moving and wearing out their soles on the dance floor while their heads float 30,000 feet above sea level.
